Lionel plans to make his son even worse with electroshock therapy. Lana starts her physical therapy and meets a new boy, Adam, with tons of red flags.

Ian Somerhalder (The Vampire Diaries, Lost) makes his first appearance as the new Smallville original character Adam.

Jesse Metcalfe, Shawn Ashmore and Jonathan Taylor Thomas return as Smallville original characters Van McNulty, Eric Summers and Ian Randall, respectively.
