Steve and Auzz hold down the fort in Zach's absence (wish him a happy birthday on twitter @zachfoth) to recap the NFL Draft.
Going through the Browns, Seahawks, and Patriots draft in detail, the guys breakdown some of the picks they are most excited about. Taking the fandom goggles off, they discuss their favourite draft picks of 2021. Next, they give their takes as to which 1st round QBs are set up for success and which is set up for failure, if any.
*Shoutout to the Canadian players who were drafted or signed as UDFAs Interlude*
With the CFL Draft happening live while recording, the guys touch on a couple of the first picks before wrapping up.

Join the guys in welcoming back Wide Receiver Coach for the University of Calgary Dino's, Jabari Arthur.
The timing couldn't be better as the CFL Draft is fast approaching. However, before Zach and Steve jump into draft season, the guys ask about Jabari's experience with his team's 2019 Vanier Cup Championship.
After, the guys get into everything draft-related. Jabari gives an inside look at players coming out of the Dinos program and why they have so much success in creating CFL talent. He also gives advice for High School players who want to make the jump to University ball and for University players moving to the pros.
Have you been curious about what scouts look for in Wide Receivers? Well, the guys jump right in and get a full lesson on what these football professionals are looking for.
You can find Jabari on his very own Calgary-based podcast, Balance of Opinion Sports.

3rd & Wrong is back with our yearly NFL mock draft special! We are privileged to be joined by Braydon Tomac, the author behind some of our articles here at The Amateur Agency including The Patriot Way, Panthers Hunt and Jets Flight Path.
We take a deep dive into the first round of the NFL Draft and mock all 32 selections (as well as the three teams who didn't have first-round selections). This is a no-trade mock, however, we do discuss likely trade candidates!
Who's going 1st overall? Wait. We know that! But there are plenty of other questions to be answered in this year's NFL Draft!

It’s all Argos this episode as the team at 3rd and Wrong welcomes Ben Grant to the pod. Grant is a podcaster and writer for Xs and Argos, writer for Canadian Football Perspective and a Coach at Lorne Park Secondary School in Mississauga and GTA All-Star Semi-Pro Team. To say the least, he brings a wealth of knowledge about the Canadian game.
With big things happening in the Argos organization, Ben gives his perspective of the new Head Coach (Ryan Dinwiddie) and Quarterback (Nick Arbuckle) duo that is calling Toronto home. Are the expectations too high for the new duo or are they set up to become the new favourites in the East? We finish off the Argo talks by asking Ben about his favourite memory as an Argo fan and it does not disappoint.
Finally, the guys jump into talking about the grassroots level and Ben’s experiences as a coach. This opens the discussion up to the difference between the Grassroots level out East and what we are currently seeing here in Alberta. For any aspiring football mind, this discussion is for you.
As always, thanks for listening. Let us know of any feedback you may have by leaving a comment or simply DM us on any of our social media platforms.
Auzzie and Steve have differing opinions on the Sam Darnold trade the Jets and Panthers made this week. Is Darnold an upgrade over Teddy Bridgwater? Should they have waited for the draft? Or can Darnold blossom into a franchise quarterback?
Which team will try to make the jump to the fourth overall pick (Atlanta Falcons) to get their QB of the future?
In CFL news, ahead of Steve releasing his 2021 CFL Head Coach/Quarterback Rankings, Auzzie reviews his list and gives the listeners an early look into an article dropping Friday morning!

The whole gang is back together to discuss a flurry of massive trades by the Miami Dolphins that saw them trade all the way back to 12th, and then back up to 6th overall in the NFL Draft.
What does this mean for the 49ers who traded up to 3rd overall? What about the Eagles who appear to be flying with Jalen Hurts?
This episode holds all the answers.
Next, the fellas dive into the speculation that’s begun over Jimmy Garoppolo’s future as a San Francisco 49er. To trade or not to trade? That is the question.
Lastly, the CFL-XFL discussions appear to be merger-focused. The guys discuss what CFL rules should stay if this does take place.
What rules do you want to see stay, if any? Any thoughts, in general, on a potential merger? DM us your thoughts @theamateuragency on Instagram.
Thanks for listening!
It's a Free Agent Frenzy!
Auzzy and Zach are back with an offseason episode focusing in on the Free Agent Market. Some teams have looked good signing players who round out needs while others splurge with no clear vision.
Do the guys like what the Pats, Seahawks and Browns have done so far? You'll have to listen and find out.
Thanks for listening, we hope you enjoyed.
Get your pens, paper and calculators out because 3rd & Wrong is talking analytics on Episode 103 with the help of Lethbridge football coach, Matthew Sentes.
Matthew guides us through the hot topics of where analytics and traditionalist football have come to a crossroads in recent times. We start with coaching decisions on 3rd down (Canadian) and 4th down (American) in key situations and what the numbers tell us as far as the best decision in those moments. Matt LeFleur's heavily scrutinized 4th down decision to kick a field goal in the 2020 NFC Championship game vs Tampa Bay was discussed.
Next, we discuss the big analytics elephant in the room; passing versus running. How much should a team pass? How little should they run? Does it vary between leagues, levels and teams? Matthew helps us make sense of it all as we tackle the traditionalist views on "establishing the run" and if there is any truth to the adage.
Finally, we discuss momentum and if there is a tangible way to measure this as well as which positions matter more and where pro-football teams in both the CFL, XFL and NFL should be allocating cash and high draft picks.
As a bonus, Matthew gives youth, high school and semi-pro football coaches everywhere advice on how they can begin to apply analytics to the teams they coach. Be sure to listen to the end to find out!
You can find Matthew's work on his website and be sure to follow him on Twitter as well!

Steve and Auzz kick things off with some big news of Dak Prescott (finally) signing a contract extension. They dive into the ramifications of the deal on the roster as a whole, and the outlook for the team going into next year.
Next, they give a quick Free Agent primer that hits on some of the big names that we'll see change teams next week. After that, the fellas go through the Texans, Jets, Jaguars, and Lions - all rebuilding teams - and discuss who has the longest road to get back to relevancy, and who is poised for a quick turnaround.
Dysfunction in Seattle: Steve gives his thoughts on the potential Russel Wilson trade to Chicago that's been speculated over the past month. Spoiler: he's not happy about it.
Lastly, the CFL and XFL broke the news yesterday (March 10) that they are engaging in discussion to help both of their leagues. There's plenty of speculation of what's going to happen - the guys give their thoughts and instant reactions, as well as discuss implications of a potential merger.
