  • #59 - Are You Mocking Me?

With the NFL Draft a week away, we put together a mock draft of the first round! But we received a little help from a close friend and co-founder of The Amateur Agency, Braydon Tomac! 1-32, all mocked for YOUR pleasure, don't thank us yet! Listen to the episode!

This mock was based on what we believe will happen, not what we would do ourselves if we were the GM. No trades were predicted in this mock though the teams that are candidates to trade up or down are discussed!

  • #58 - Tannehill is a Top 10 Quarterback

That's right, you read the title and you're probably thinking to yourself: "What, how?" well, you're going to have to listen to the episode to find out but there's good news. Zach, Steve and Auzzie break down the Brandin Cooks trade and the concept of building teams for sustainable winning or aiming to capitalize on a Super Bowl Window. The guys also talk the biggest needs heading into the draft for their favourite teams the Cleveland Browns, New England Patriots and Seattle Seahawks.

Then, we get to the juicy stuff. After seeing Nick Wright's Quarterback hierarchy a few weeks back, Zach was inspired to create a list of his own. It can be found on our social media but for a detailed explanation, you'll want to listen to this episode.

We still continue thinking of everyone impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic and hope you are taking the proper measures to keep yourself healthy. We appreciate you tuning in and please don't be shy, DM us and let's talk football! If you have an idea or debate you want to discussed on the pod, let us know! • #57 - A Bear Market

**A quick disclaimer! We unfortunately faced network issues throughout this episode, mainly on Steve's end. We've talked with him and he's cool if you skip his parts if it is a little too choppy. Thankfully, we don't face these issues often, your patience and understanding is appreciated.  We've also posted this episode on our Youtube channel as we used Skype to record the majority of this episode!

The guys break down which teams performed the best and which teams hurt themselves the most in 2020 free agency. From the Bears to Broncos, no team was off-limits from the fellas' critique/praise.

With the NFL Draft quickly emerging, the guys will be diving right in! Let us know who you think your team should/will draft and we'll discuss next episode!

Steve and Austyn had the privilege of talking with Edmonton Eskimos Wide Receiver, Ricky Collins Jr.

In this interview, Ricky shares his football journey from college to the NFL and then to the CFL where he is making sorry defences pay (Austyn's still grieving last year's Alouettes vs Eskimos playoff game). We hope you enjoy this wide-ranging conversation, covering COVID-19, football (of course), and tasty Texan dishes.

You can find Ricky Collins Jr on twitter, @real_2xs, or Instagram, @3_gully.

  • #55 - Interview w/Ryan Sheahan

Zach & Steve have a virtual sitdown with the Head Coach of the University of Guelph Gryphons, Ryan Sheahan!

Coach Sheahan has had a successful start to his young coaching career starting with Queens University as the Assistant Offensive Coordinator & Quarterback coach before moving on to be the Hamilton Tiger-Cats running back coach in 2012.

Sheahan returned to USports as the Offensive Coordinator at Queens before taking the job at the University of Calgary as their Offensive Coordinator & Assistant Head Coach. In 2019, Sheahan was named Head Coach of the Gryphons and lead the team to a 6-2 regular-season record and an OUA Semi-Finals appearance.

  • #54 - Free Agency Fun!

In this NFL Free Agency recap pod, Zach rejoins Steve and Austyn as they go through a plethora of the trades and signings that took place over the first three days of Free Agency. (Tom Brady to the Buccaneers?!)

They were also asked from a loyal listener: Would you start franchise building around the o-line or d-line first?

  • #53 - 3rd & Cancelled

Well we recorded this episode as it was breaking that the USA was stopping all travel from Europe, the NBA had cancelled its season (temporarily) and that Tom Hanks contracted the COVID-19 Virus. We didn't have a clue until we had finished our episode.

To help take your mind off the ensuing chaos that surrounds us, Auzzie and Steve dove into NFL talk with Dak's demands, Brady's potential landings spots and a pretty awful new logo the Los Angeles Rams released.

The XFL had their first botched reffing call! Happens to the best of the professional sports leagues out there.

Over on Canadian Corner, the guys discuss the merit of the rouge and whether or not it should stay in the game. The Stampeders also teased new uniforms. Always exciting!

Be sure to follow us on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter, leave us a review and wash your hands!

  • #52 - A Falling Out With Bill Nye the Science Guy

Steve and Austyn hold down the fort for episode 52. They dive (more like a dip of the toe) into the NFL Combine that has come and gone, giving you some valuable information along the way.

Next, they get into some of the latest rumours surrounding NFL Free Agency:

    • Where Tom Brady is heading
    • Jameis Winston staying or going in Tampa
    • Jaguars making moves (good or bad, we aren't sure)
    • And more!

After that, they briefly cover the XFL games of week 4, including Austyn's DC Defenders' freefall.

Flying into the Canadian Corner, the CFL and CFLPA are working to amend a contract stipulation for a former NFL wide receiver that wants to play in the CFL.

In this week's food take of the week, Steve delves into a particular fast-food chain's upcoming deal and he is PUMPED about it - the guys discuss what this fast-food chain's best treat is.

As always, thanks for listening! Find us on twitter, instagram, and facebook: The Amateur Agency. If you're feeling extra generous, give us feedback on Apple Podcasts or slide into our DMs!
