Audio Description (AD) is a service which can bring tv, cinema, theatre and many of the arts to life for blind patrons.

The UK is a leader in the provision of this service and MindsEye Arts was one of the first to devise, deliver and promote AD, beginning at the Octagon Theatre in Bolton.

RNIB Connect Radio's Allan Russell spoke to Anne Hornsby about the 25th anniversary celebrations being held on the 1st of December this year and to help track down Sheila Birkett, who helped the fledgling company off the ground.
