Kwan Fai "Willie" Mak really wanted to rob the Wah Mee Nightclub. He'd been talking about it for years. But he couldn't do it alone, so he enlisted his high school friend Keung Kin "Benjamin" Ng and acquaintance Wai-Chiu "Tony" Ng to help him. Unlike Benjamin, Tony wasn't actually friends with Willie - he just owed Willie some money, and Willie agreed to forgive the debt if Tony came along that night. Agreeing to do so made Tony a party to one of the most notorious cases in Seattle's history.
