What I call hard gemstones:

diamond, sapphire, ruby, chrysoberyl, topaz, emerald, spinel, morganite, aquamarine, heliodor and tourmaline

What I call soft gemstones:

amethyst, rock crystal, citrine, rose quartz, tanzanite, jade, turquoise, moonstone, opal, coral, amber and pearl (and why you rarely see any of these recommended as a wedding ring)

In summary - choose hard, high-quality stones for your most important jewelry that you want to last a long time and be able to inherit, and go wild with the others!

Enjoy!

And remember: you deserve fine jewelry.
