Today we sit down and share the story of a fascinating, daring, charming - and as we will learn, very clever woman: Gabrielle Coco Chanel. Known for the little black dress, the perfume (no 5), the quilted handbags - and her rows and rows of pearls necklaces.
She wasn't loved by everyone - her workers went on strike because of bad working conditions, which most probably was part of the reason why she had to close down her business during several years.
She came from a modest upbringing, where she spent part of her childhood at an orphanage. Soon however, she found that her charm could take her far. She was fond of wealthy men, and continued to seduce them all her life.
She lived through two world wars, several recessions, a huge number of design eras and she always knew whom to work with for her next big project - wheather it be creating jewelry, perfumes or get away from the nazis in 1940's Paris.
Welcome to the world of Coco Chanel!
