David Ross is a guitar repair technician who has started his own line of pedals. He has built his business in Binghamton, NY.  His dad was a Jazz musician and educator and it came to David naturally as he got older and inevitably he got into electronics and tinkering with guitars and guitar pedals. That has manifested into starting his own business.

I had a lot of fun talking to David on the podcast and I hope you enjoy this conversation!

With a unique approach to the guitar, Adam Miller's music is groovy and approachable, whilst having a melodic sophistication that only comes from years of cross genre hopping. His inclusion of complex rhythms and dissonant haunting phrases, combined with breathtaking riffs and melodies are his signature. His jazz influenced style with finger-picking mastery creates a improvisation filled live performance that is beautifully unpredictable. This has seen him share stages with Les Paul, Tommy Emmanuel, Matt Schofield, Russell Morris, Charlie Hunter, Adam Levy, Ariel Posen, Tony McManus, Ben Gillies (Silverchair), and more!

I hope you all enjoy this episode as much as I did!

Steve is half of the podcasting/YouTube duo that make up 60 Cycle Hum. He and Ryan have created a podcast and culture around finding incredibly ridiculous craigslist/facebook/ebay guitar listing and deciding whether people should "buy buy buy" or say "bye bye bye". I loved having him on the show and I think you'll enjoy it as well!

Tyler is a guitarist, tinkerer, and home recording enthusiast who decided he wanted to try his hand at building microphones. His story is a common one amongst many makers that I've interviewed on the podcast - he saw a need in his own musical life and decided to build it instead of buying it and in the process created a wonderful microphone that he now offers to the rest of the gear world. He is dedicated to making quality, top-tier, pro microphones at an affordable price that musicians can afford and access.

We had a great time in this conversation and I hope you enjoy it!

Jeremy Sheppard has built a reputation as being an expert in the acoustic guitar world - not just in buying and selling but his knowledge of vintage Martins and Gibsons and their contemporary boutique builders is unparalleled. I've been lucky to have him on the podcast a few times now and each time is an absolute treat. I'm thankful to call him a friend and I'm sure you're going to enjoy this episode with him as we talk about wild road stories, learning to build guitars, and the perils of content creation!

Gecko Pedals is an example of what happens when a dare between bandmates ruminates for 15 years and then is finally brought to fruition. Riley at Gecko Pedals has designed and released one of the most ambitious first pedals I've ever seen and it's incredible.

On this episode I talk to Riley and Pete about the beauty of tape delays, the marvel of the echoplex, and why the Geckoplex EP-5 is such a wonderfully perfect pedal. We also hear more about Riley's story, how he got into making pedals, and how it was Pete's love for an Echoplex EP-4 that spurred the creation of Gecko Pedals.

Brady Goldman is a guitar builder and pickup winder based in South Texas who is building unique designs and creating a name for himself as an instrument maker. He has relocated and is in the process of setting his shop back up but in the meantime took some time to stop by and record an episode with me and I think you'll like it.

In this episode we talk about how Brady got started, how he finds inspiration for new guitar models, and how to bounce back after having life break your jaw - literally!
