In this week's episode Phillip gets to sit down and talk music, guitar, and growing up in Clarksdale with Blues phenom Kingfish Ingram. Phillip and Kingfish both grew up playing guitar in Clarksdale, MS and share stories of playing in their hometown and about Kingfish's growth as a guitarist.

Spencer Thomas is a multi-instrumentalist/songwriter from the Jackson, MS area but now living in Athens, GA. He's toured the country with his former band Young Valley as well as a musician for American songwriter and guitarist Jimbo Mathus.

Spencer Thomas released his album Hangin' Tough in late 2019 and managed to get a few months of touring in support of it under his belt before COVID shut down all touring.

This week Phillip sits down and talks to Eric Deaton of the Eric Deaton Trio! Eric is a native of North Carolina that has called Mississippi home for a while now. Originally drawn to the state due to the rich and ongoing Blues heritage, Eric has carved out a home for himself in Oxford, MS playing guitar and bass for other musicians like Jimbo Mathus, Dan Auerbach, and Alvin "Youngblood" Hart before forming his own band to perform his original music.
