High school drama makes its proper return with the new appearance of returning student Abigail "Scabby Abby" Fine. Senior year has started with a fresh new face for Abby, courtesy of her plastic surgeon of a mother, but comes with some Kryptonite side effects: hallucination kisses. Meanwhile, Lois is forced to enroll at Smallville High because she's dumb, Clark tries out for the football team (take that Jon!) and Jason becomes the new football coach's assistant to be close to Lana (gross).

Michael Ironside (Superman: TAS, Starship Troopers, Total Recall) makes a brief return as original DC Comics character General Sam Lane.

Erica Durance (Saving Hope) returns as recurring and original DC Comics character Lois Lane.
