Punk rock duo Isaac and Laurie from Soft Play (formerly known as Slaves) went from gigging to a crowd of just 7 people, to headlining festivals, to taking a career hiatus. They’re on Happy Hour to chat through their career to date, the reason for their name change, and their upcoming album! 

They share why they were escorted out of Foo Fighters' backstage area by armed security, the celebrity they got to crowd surf at their gig, and why they’re calling out Ed Sheeran. 

Punk rock gigs inevitably come with wild injuries, one involving a pair of underpants, and another caused by a huge 90’s pop band. The lads reveal the 6 words Isaac said, that caused Laurie to refuse to speak to him during their tour, and we put their friendship to the test with a game of Mr and Mr! 

Laurie explains his nickname that has stuck since school, and his tattoo that he didn’t realise had a raunchy double meaning! And YES we couldn’t let them go without explaining Jaack’s fondness for shagging soft plays, to Soft Play themselves…
