Topics: iBUG announcements; text replacement – use a three letter combination to avoid inadvertently triggering the shortcut; having a shortcut of “no” – that could trigger the shortcut text replacement if you type the word no in a message; VoiceOver jumping when reading an e-mail message – suggestions to use rotor to read text by character or word, slow down speech rate, restart iPhone;  two-finger swipe down to read all, and two-finger touch to pause reading; accessibility of the Kindle app – scrolling to move pages, two-finger down swipe to read continuously; double-tap will open menu, navigation drawer show table of contents; practice with samples of books in Kindle app;  swipe right to left to go forward, like turning a page, and swipe left to right to go backwards; returning to home screen with iPhone 12; closing the Zoom app;  iPhone without a home button – initial click when tap the bottom of the screen, start swiping up, the second click is home screen, and third click is the app switcher; if swipe down from top, first click is Control Center, and the second click is the notification center; review of WWDC – World-Wide Developers Conference, Apple Event; iOS 15 – updates to Facetime – special audio, and screen sharing, share a movie on Facetime or listen to an Apple Music playlist; voice isolation – makes you sound clearer; notifications – notification summary, part of a new focus mode; in Do Not Disturb  those who contact you can see that you have activated do not disturb; live text- isolate text from a photograph; can use Facetime to Android with a link; iPhone 6S and SE will support iOS15; Digital wallet -  put your license or ID, home keys; load passes and automatically hide those that expired; TSA will allow ID from Apple Wallet;  Apple Maps – improvements to transit, keep track of your route and let you know when ready to disembark; helps orientation when getting off of transit; Air Pods- hearing aid support, conversation mode; find my – Air Pods with chirp while in case; Air Pods alert you if they are left behind; digital keys will depend on iPhone model; iPad OS – app library, use widgets, multi-tasking; Notes app – quick note;  universal translation;  security updates – more e-mail privacy iCloud Plus, virtual e-mail addresses, iCloud temporarily expand storage while upgrade to iOS 15;  Siri upgrade -  Siri commands will be handled on the device, not uploaded to a server, therefore much faster response time; speech recognition is on by default; Safari – group tabs, voice search, controls on bottom;  iCloud allows you to share password with certain contact for future recovery; legacy feature – grant access to certain contact upon your death; health app – share data with doctors; Watch – breathing, reflection, mindfulness app; Siri goes to third-party devices; rumors that voice controls tied with VoiceOver – rumor is two will be separated, mention during Global Accessibility Awareness Day; Mac OS – Monterey; testflight and shortcut coming to Mac; feedback on audio-description for WWDC event.
