Smallville brings back the popular trend with a new "villain of the week" who turns out to have an intimate history with Lex. After Lex gets framed for murder he does everything to try save himself and his reputation. Unfortunately, Clark Kent is an old fashioned gentleman cowboy and doesn't allow for one night stands, so he gets mad at Lex and goes to Lionel for help in the investigation. In other news, Jason's mom pays a visit to Lana after Lana dreams about her in 17th century France.

Cobie Smulders (How I Met Your Mother, The Avengers) special guest stars as this week's villain, Shannon Bell.

Jane Seymour (Dr. Quinn, Medicine Woman, Wedding Crashers) special guest stars as Jason's mother, Genevieve Teague.
