This episode features Sophia Nimphius who is an Associate Professor at Edith Cowan University and leads High-Performance Services for Softball Western Australia. She previously served as the Sports Science Manager for the Hurley Surfing Australia High Performance Centre and has held positions in sports science and strength and conditioning in the US and Australia supporting athletes of various competitive levels. She has been an invited presenter and researcher nationally and internationally on topics from elite performance to diversity for innovation and has also published numerous peer-reviewed research articles and several book chapters. The reason I invited Sophia on Leave Your Mark was that I was struck by her desire to share her knowledge and challenge convention through research and applied practice, she is indeed leaving her mark in the world of human performance.
