Can you believe it's already December? That means the holidays and winter are in full swing too! One thing is certain, winter brings unexpected weather. With that being said, this episode is here just in time because on today's podcast we are talking all about how to prepare for teacher snow days!
In many places snow days are inevitable and so are the disruptions they bring to everyone’s plans. And as many places are moving to remote learning days that may mean a quick change from in-person lessons to online. Teacher snow days can be difficult and frustrating to navigate, so listen up because I share tips and resources on how to best prepare for snow days.
I discuss several fun and engaging activities for different subjects that you can use.
For writing, you can do a FUN writing prompt- "If I were Stuck in a Snow Globe?" or use our snow themed passages. For math, you can do a snow themed math board game or our snow math review resource. For science, you can do an engaging "Life Cycle" of a Snowflake" activity where you have students dance out the different steps of the water cycle.
These are just a few examples of the fun ideas that I share that will help you with teacher snow days and the best part is you’ll be prepared and won’t have to worry about what you are going to do when a snow day does happen.
A few other exciting topics that I touch on are my Life Coaching certification journey! I share some of the advice that I have learned so far, which I am so excited about. And I share about our upcoming virtual Winter Educate & Rejuvenate event! We will have Bri Richardson of Honest Teacher Vibes doing a comedy presentation, life coaching and more! This event is December 29th. You will not want to miss it!
