Several key laws are set to be added to the LNP’s flagship Adult Crime, Adult Time policy.

The 20 new charges include rape, aggravated attempted robbery, arson, attempted murder and ramming an emergency vehicle among others.

Queensland Youth Justice Minister Laura Gerber told Peter Fegan on 4BC Breakfast, "We made a promise to Queenslanders that we would be a government that not only prioritises the rights of victims, but ensures those consequences for actions and delivers that in a methodical and calm way so that Queenslanders can have confidence in our justice system once again."

A war is brewing between Peter Dutton and the education department as the Opposition Leader has pledged to take political agendas out of our schools.

Federal Education Minister Jason Clare told Peter Fegan on 4BC Breakfast, "I want them focused on the fundamentals, but I don't want this fake fight about indoctrination."

"Peter Dutton here is trying to sort of float all these ideas about a conspiracy in our classroom about indoctrination, all this stuff coming from the United States."

"I want to make sure that they're focused on the fundamentals here. Seems like he's not," Mr. Clare said.

RACQ's 2024 Travel Speeds Report has revealed that Brisbane roads are getting slower at a concerning rate with peak hour continuing to expand.

RACQ’s Head of Public Policy Dr Michael Kane told Peter Fegan on 4BC Breakfast, "This is what we see every year, but what we're seeing is it's getting worse."

"We can build our way through that problem in terms of motorways, but these major roads running through the urban area, we can't keep widening these."

"We've got to think something completely different," Dr Kane continued.

According to Australian accountant and property investor millionaire Jeremy Iannuzzelli there is no such thing as a cost-of-living crisis and that rather, we are in a 'spending crisis'.

Millionaire Jeremy Iannuzzelli told Peter Fegan on 4BC Breakfast, "I don't disagree that costs have increased, but if we look at the economy as a whole over the last 25 years, there's always been an increase in costs year to year and that's called progression."

"I think the main thing now is all about frugality and a lot of people are not understanding that in certain times, in certain economies, you need to rein back your spending."

"If you're spending money consistent with where we were when interest rates were two percent and you haven't changed your habits, then you are going to feel the pinch," Mr. Iannuzzelli said.

It has been suggested that health funds are closing a policy and opening an almost identical one at a higher price with the Commonwealth Health Ombudsman suggesting this is common practice across the industry.

Prime Minister Anthony Albanese has announced a price gouging taskforce to crackdown on supermarkets taking advantage of consumers.

Consumer Expert and author of "Easy Money" Joel Gibson told Peter Fegan on 4BC Breakfast, "I think the ACCC had a bit of a bet each way and the government's now saying, well, we need some laws to outlaw excessive pricing because we don't have those laws at the moment."

"It is illegal to abuse your market power if you're a business, but not to charge excessive prices," Mr. Gibson said.

"Will it have a major impact on the price of your groceries?"

"I don't think so unfortunately," Mr. Gibson continued.
