The Queensland Police Service are attending 526 DV occurrences every day in what can only be described as a crisis.

The cops are calling for domestic violence to be treated as a standalone criminal offence to take the burden off victims and making it easier for police to act.

QPS Union President Shane Prior told Peter Fegan on 4BC Breakfast, "We cannot keep this going, victims are at greater risk than they ever have and police are at burnout."

The rise of antisemitism in Australia is apparent, particularly in the last few months.

For the most part, Queensland has avoided this rise in hate thanks to the state's security and counter terrorism team.

Two nurses from Bankstown Hospital in New South Wales have been sacked after appearing in a disgusting antisemitic video.

Federal Health Minister Mark Butler told Peter Fegan on 4BC Breakfast, "I'm advised that the relevant New South Wales Authority that has responsibility for their registration as nurses has been asked to consider an interim suspension of their registration as a nurse."

"Because I'm worried that even though they've been suspended from New South Wales Health, I don't want them working in another private hospital or an aged care facility."
