Podcasts have surged in popularity in recent years, with notable interviews with political leaders, and now we're seeing a similar trend in Australia.

Controversial reality TV star and podcaster Abbie Chatfield has sat down with the prime minister, Anthony Albanese, on her podcast It's a Lot Podcast.

Bill McDonald said on 4BC Mornings, "What was said in the podcast, it's nothing out of the ordinary and there probably wasn't anything shocking."

"She just agreed with pretty much everything that he had to say, and not challenging him on much at all," Bill continued.

We heard the story a while back about rideshare drivers repeatedly refusing to pick up Victorian woman, Paula Hobley, after she booked and let the driver know she was travelling with her Guide Dog, Vonda.

Paula lodged a complaint to the Australian Human Rights Commission alleging discriminatory treatment by Uber and its drivers, which has now progressed to the Federal Court.

Chris Littlewood lives with vision loss and uses a Guide Dog and he joined Bill McDonald on 4BC Mornings to discuss his similar experience.

John from Kedron called in yesterday to share that he had been broken into that morning through the window louvres of his house.

Today he joined 4BC Mornings to provide an update on the situation, telling Bill McDonald, "It makes you feel sick."

Well-known media personality and founder of Gotcha4Life, Gus Worland, has released a picture book to normalise mental health awareness in young folks.

Gus Worland told Bill McDonald on 4BC Mornings, "We really need to start talking to the little ones so that's why the book 'Boys Do Cry' is something I'm so passionate about because hopefully the people reading it to the kids will learn something and also the kids will realise it's okay to be human, it's okay to have all the feels and not bottle them all up."

The Coochiemudlo Island Men’s Shed is at loggerheads with the Redland City Council.  

They’ve been battling local zoning laws for years which prevent the use of power tools due to strict noise restrictions. 

Geoff Bucchus, a member of the men's shed told Bill McDonald on 4BC Mornings, "It doesn't seem a massive ask, but for some reason council just don't want to know."
