The Washington Huskies are squaring off with the Washington State Cougars in week three of the college football season. This is the first time the Apple Cup will take place before November since 1948. Both teams come into the matchup at 2-0 with many questions marks surrounding the programs. Jake Grant, UW Leah, Coach V, and Trevor Mueller discuss the matchup and what Washington can do to finish the weekend out at 3-0.

Warren (the Dawg) asks Mark (the Duck) to explain what’s going on with the once #3 ranked Oregon Ducks who have sputtered through the first two games, including a last second victory against Boise St.  The guys talk about the Dawgs win over Eastern Michigan and then turn their attention to the Cougars and Beavers respective “Super Bowls”... the Apple Cup and the Platypus Trophy… in September!

The Washington Huskies took care of business Saturday afternoon on Montlake to beat the Eastern Michigan Eagles 30-9. After a sluggish start the Huskies dominated the afternoon to go 2-0 in non-conference play. Coach V, UW Leah, and Trevor Mueller break this game and the weekend of games down.

Warren (The Dawg) and Mark (The Duck) are finally reunited in time to break down the opening games and discuss our concerns and confidence after seeing our teams take the field.  Warren gives his take on the unprecedented roster reconstruction of this Washington team, while Mark rolls his eyes and says it's time to "move on!"  Mark gets a little testy when Warren questions whether Dillon Gabriel will ever throw the ball down the field in the Will Stein passing offense.  It's good to be back together on the Dawg & Duck Show!

The Washington Huskies started the 2024 season out with an emphatic 35-3 win over FCS Weber State. UW Leah, Coach V, and Trevor Mueller break down the flow of the game, outstanding players, and discuss everything that happened late Saturday night. Coach V titles this Steve Belichick defense as "let's get weird" as the Dawgs move to 1-0 on the season.
