Authenticity is a broad subject, which is often lacking in less-broad business environments. It leaves us torn between exhibiting the fullness of ourselves and the temptation to dim our authenticity in order to "fit". Listen in to this week's episode, the second in the "Authenticity in Business" series, to hear my two cents on maintaining your authenticity while creating an authentic space for your clients.
This is the first episode in the "Authenticity in Business" series. I'm walking you through my very first retail sales position, and sharing how I bridged the gap between authenticity and servant leadership in a setting that required adaptation in every moment.
You build up the courage to raise your voice for a moment. But when the opposition rolls in, it feels easier to take down your words, to erase their existence. What would happen if you got in touch with the authentic you, and were able to communicate clearly and from your core?
Your communication during crisis shouldn't look much different than communication apart from crisis. Consistency, rapid boundaries, and authenticity is key, because people want to know and see the real "you" in all forms of communication.
Here's what you can expect for this podcast going forward. Click play to hear why key topics, boundaries, heart-to-heart, and authenticity will be valued here.
Sometimes, all you need is for someone to speak the beautiful truths that you are reluctant to tell yourself.
The internal dialogue you have with yourself can make or break your day. Luckily, it's also easily shifted.
You and I both know that exhaustion goes deeper than your sleep. If you're feeling a little extra vulnerable, irritable, or tired...this one is for you.
Your to-do list somehow grew to be longer than the day itself, and you're not alone. Maybe it got this way because of your procrastination, or due to an abundance of responsibilities. Regardless, you can do this.
Let me tell you- this recording day was NOT my day. So you're hearing a genuine, wholehearted, and authentic affirmation when it was VERY much needed. Hopefully it hits you in the perfect moment, too.
