Melisa is currently a second-grade teacher in Hilliard, Ohio. She has been in education for over 25 years. She was awarded the Distinguished Educator in her district six years ago and also awarded Global Teacher of the Year five years ago. She's also a children's book author and her book, ABBS was launched in the fall of 2023. She is passionate about many things: inclusion, teaching the whole child, global goals, establishing relationships with her kids, creating a FUN, safe, environment where her kids have voice, choice and are empowered daily!
