WORLD PRISONER DAY
INTERVIEW WITH KGOTSO NDLOVU – FORMER CONVICT
Kgotso Ndlovu , born and bred in Soweto. Aged 30
He was once sentenced to 17 year imprisonment in 2014, and I was released in 2019 since then i was working on building myself .
His journey from incarceration to community service is a story of redemption in Soweto. His life story is one of transformation, resilience and the power of second chance. Growing up in Soweto, he attended school like many young people, but life took a different turn that would ultimately lead him on a journey of self-discovery.
His story resonates, particularly, with township communities where there are issues of crime, incarceration and rehabilitation.
Currently he is awaiting the outcome of his presidential pardon application, and his daily work as a caretaker is serving and protecting my community.
