WVU football defeated the #22 ranked Houston Cougars 45-35 on Saturday at TDECU Stadium in Houston. They saw good performances from several key players. Quarterback Scotty Fox threw for 157 yards and accounted for three touchdowns; two on the ground and one passing. Running back Diore Hubbard had his first career 100-yard game. The defense forced three turnovers, one of which resulted in a pick-six. Even the special teams got in on the action with solid performances all-around.
