This is not an actual episode. Between the holiday weekend and so many people being on spring break this time of year, I was not going to post a video this week at all. However, I’ve been meaning to talk about some of these things related to the cancel culture and 5 Solas Studios. So, I decided to do a “quick” video this week instead of a normal full length episode.

Yes, this was supposed to just be a 15-30 minute short video. Of course, it ended up being about about 50 minutes, but you guys already know I have issues when it comes to being brief. So, no surprises there. =)

I sincerely appreciate all of you guys who take the time to tune in to 5 Solas Studios. It amazes me how God continues to use this ministry to bless so many people. I am nothing, just an unworthy servant of Christ. If I appear to be anything at all, it is because I stand on the shoulders of some truly great men of God, and ultimately it is only because of the sovereign grace of God.

All glory truly belongs to God alone for anything that has been accomplished through me or 5 Solas Studios. God has brought me low so many times throughout my life. He has crushed so many of my plans and ministry efforts, and he has ground them into dust, in order to make me know that I am nothing, that I can accomplish nothing, and that Christ is all.

As Christians, we usually only talk about sex in a negative light. We tend to focus solely on the restrictions, and we don’t even normally do that until after a well-known pastor or teacher has fallen into some kind of sexual sin.

We live in a highly sexualized and pornographic culture—which means—if we are not actively discipling people into a biblical sexuality and then living according to that holy sexuality, the world will be discipling us daily.

So, I would like to present a positive view of sex from a distinctly Biblical and Puritan perspective, and then make some important applications to single people, especially as it relates to their conduct on social media.

This episode is both theological and practical….And yes, it is clean. There is no profane or descriptive language, and nor does there need to be. Sex was God’s idea. Therefore, sex within the confines of biblical marriage is holy.

May God be pleased to use this episode to help keep those who are single pure and devoted unto the Lord; and to help married men and women enjoy more of God’s goodness by enjoying more good sex to the glory of God.

Get the war drums ready, because the Reformation continues!

How are we supposed to address the civil magistrate in our own day? What kind of truths ought to be presented to the governing authorities if we are to say anything meaningful to them that would help bring about reformation?

John Calvin gives us much instruction and wisdom here. In this episode, we’ll take John Calvin’s “Prefatory Address to King Francis I of France” and see how relevant and instructive these words still are to us today. 

There is much in Calvin’s address to the king that instructs us, and there is much more that could have easily been said. Nevertheless, I hope this small sampling is enough to help stir you up towards love and good works.
