In our last episode, we defined and defended theonomy, and we also demonstrated it’s absolute necessity to maintain a free and prosperous society. In this episode, we’ll see theonomy applied to specific areas of life such as: marriage, the prison system, taxation, and modern day slavery.

In our next episode, “Modern Child Sacrifice,” we’ll look at a different commandment and its just penal sanctions which still apply today.

However, at the end of the day, our prayer is that, by gaining a clearer view of God’s law, you will taste and see that the Lord is good. Yes, he is good in the giving of the gospel, but he is also good in the giving of his law.

Inasmuch as that is accomplished, to God be the glory!

This is not any sort of attack on Dr. MacArthur himself, and this is not even merely about eschatology. This is about Christians having a consistent and comprehensive biblical worldview.

We are going to be digging down to the foundational level, looking at the worldview implications of Dispensational Premillennialism and comparing them with Puritanical Postmillennialism.

This is vitally important stuff. Our worldview affects our apologetics, which is the defense and confirmation of “the faith that was once for all delivered to the saints.” (Jude 3)

This should be of great interest to every Christian who is concerned with the advance of the gospel…which should be every genuine Christian.

Many Christians continue to struggle with fits of depression even after conversion, but we don’t like to talk about depression because it’s a hard subject for many of us to talk about. Nevertheless, we need to talk about it.

This is going to be less of a theology lesson and more of a biblical counseling session for those who suffer from bouts with depression, as well as for those who know someone who suffers from bouts with depression.

For some of you, you’re probably about to have a moment with God as you worship him through tearstained eyes. Voddie’s opening prayer was enough to get me choked up. Then (copyright permitting), we’ll close it out by worshiping God through song, with an excellent version of Psalm 46 that shows both the real pain and the great triumph of the Christian life, as God reveals himself as the God who is with us in the fiery trials of our suffering.
