Today we receive a german friend in these podcast.
Despite our friendship for more than 25 years, and besides all the times that he visited us in Portugal, Dirk Neldner can't speak Portuguese and that’s why during this episode we’ll speak in English.
Maybe the portuguese language is the only thing that Dirk doesn’t understand about O Bando’s work and about our path. Dirk Neldner is a producer and manager, responsible for a lot of theatre international projects where O Bando is
involved along with many different groups of many different European countries,
but not only. Since 2001, we were with Dirk and his team, working in Australia, Canada and South Africa…
And O Bando is for Dirk also a house and a land to daydream. Here, in our mountain, we hosted and produced international encounters with hundreds and hundreds of artists and young people that will hold the concrete feelings of these valley
in their memories, forever.
For O Bando, Dirk is the synonymous of concrete Utopia, the expression that he steal from Ernst Bloch to name us and to name the audiowalk that he directed and presented during the celebrations of our 50th anniversary.
