Here's a WQMF aircheck of Ron Clay & Terry Meiners on The Show With No Name a few months after the morning team switched from WLRS in January.

During a heavy storm on April 4, 2025, parts of downtown Louisville suffered a massive power failure. WHAS studios are in the Fourth Street Live entertainment complex so everything went dark at 5:22 PM, the middle of drive time.

Some way, somehow, the microphones remained online and connected to the system that feeds the WHAS transmitter in Eastwood, Kentucky.

Soooo....Terry Meiners, Paul Miles, Joe Lincoln, and Billy Rutledge carried out our duties in the dark from the WHAS panic room in the back of the building.

Kentucky's strong anti-discrimination laws are in place following decades of advocacy work by the Fairness Campaign. Its executive director Chris Hartman visited 840WHAS to discuss the recent Kentucky state legislature's override of Gov. Andy Beshear's support of trans medical care and his aversion to the concept of conversion therapy.

We also discussed online discussions of whether the LGB community should separate from the TQ+ advocacy messaging that roils a significant segment of society.

LSU basketball coach Kim Mulkey can't help be be irascible after a loss, this time sniping at a young reporter who asked about her team flaming out at the Elite Eight position two years in a row.

TCU's Hailey Van Lith is leading her third team to the Elite Eight (she helped Louisville and LSU in previous years) and shares a profound response to hater comments.

Actor Richard Chamberlain, God rest his soul, was unfortunately convince to sing pop songs after his TV career took off in the 1960s. Certainly a group of moochers thought it would be a good idea for "Dr. Kildare" to separate his fans from their money with badly produced records. Ouch.

My niece Addie Meiners happened to walk by me at Keeneland in April 2019 where I was broadcasting my show. She did a quick interview about her final days at the University of Kentucky and how she envisioned her professional future.

It's pretty close to reality! Addie is now a prominent reporter on WLKY-TV in Louisville with more goals ahead.

So proud of her!
