Today in Star Wars History 4/21/1980

 

The Empire Strikes Back Original Motion Picture Soundtrack by John Williams, was released. Before the film’s release the album had already sold three million copies. The soundtrack spends eighteen weeks on Billboard's 200 list and peaks at #4 on the week of July 12th.
