It’s a true injustice when our illustrious heroes are purposely “cancelled” because of the too-common curse of professional jealousy and power politics.
Sadly, it’s even more prevalent today and why a large majority of Americans no longer trust our media.
For one of America’s finest cryptographers, a man who singlehandedly saved the US Navy’s Pacific Fleet and delivered the Japanese Navy to American dive bombers at the Battle of Midway, was actually punished for his life-saving accomplishments.
His name was Captain Joseph J. Rochefort, a brilliant, yet soft-spoken Navy officer who preferred fuzzy slippers to regulation dress shoes and worked at all hours—sometimes 24/7—in his bathrobe.
There, in what he called “the Dungeon,” “Station HYPO” at Pearl Harbor, he and his team successfully broke the rock-solid Japanese naval codes wide-open, turning the tide of war.
This is his incredible, inspiring story.
I’m Rick Robison and this is the HEROES FOR FREEDOM Podcast.
