Jillian is a "writer and historian of technology, studying things like cryptography, computers, and mathematics, and all the weird shit humans do with it all."

She holds a PhD from the University of Chicago in their Conceptual and Historical Studies of Science. This makes her the perfect person to discuss the never-ending mystery that is The Voynich Manuscript. This is a 600 year old 240 page medieval codex written in an unknown language, complimented by beautiful and bizarre drawings of natural elements, plants of unknown origin and naked women. While answers may never come to be, this conversation examines the work in-depth.
