EPISODE DESCRIPTION – For the last several weeks, we have been analyzing the principles of godly storytelling, and I’ve argued that there are five primary keynotes that ought to guide our writing.

1.    A commitment to truth telling

2.    A commitment to do no harm

3.    Promoting involvement rather than voyeurism, and last week;

4.    Portraying good and evil accurately

Today, I’d like to present keynote #5

5.    The possibility of redemption.

These five keynotes work together. They go hand in hand, overlapping, relying on each other, which is why today’s keynote can only be understood in the context of the other four. It’s an argument that builds on each brick, and leads to a logical conclusion. The foundation starts with keynote number one – we always start with the truth. From there, we derive the other principles and evaluate our pre-conceived ideas in light of each of these tenets.

UP NEXT - Next week, we will unpack this notion further.
