This episode features Samantha Joy, an international identity coach and publisher, such a ray of light. In this episode, they talk about being expansive and embracing your identity.
“I really started to understand how my identity is shaping everything around me. It really put the power back in my life.”
“It’s in there somewhere and your identity doesn’t need that part of the outside world. We’re all human too and we can fall in that trap, and there’s an awareness to bring us back.”
“We’re on a forever journey of discovery and it doesn’t mean you can know in an instant.”
“You get to the point where sex feels like sugar, you crave it, and then at some point, realize, you don’t really need it.”
“It is rough at first. You feel lonely and disconnected, but if you are feeling disconnected when you cut off a vice, it means you are not connected to self, and that’s a problem.”
“It is admirable to sit with yourself and not look for another vice to go out in a different way.”
“I’m on a love journey, and at one point, I fell in love with this woman. Even then, I had shame around it. This might be uncomfortable for them.”
“There’s no shame in living outside the box.”
“A dark side of us could actually be our strength but we hide from them because of the stories and the limiting beliefs, and because it’s been changed for a long time.”
“We have the privilege, why not use it and make it fun? It’s supposed to be fun.”
