Bushra has worked in protection, inclusion and safeguarding in humanitarian work for an international non-government organisation. Prior to this, she worked as a research officer for another humanitarian organisation. She holds a master's in conflict, security and development and has received an award from the Development Studies Association for her dissertation on disability inclusion for displaced Syrian refugees in Jordan.
