Hello! Today we are going to talk about Latin America. This is the part 2 because we already did part 1 in the first episode of this podcast. Interesting facts and curiosities about Latin America. I will be reading a text in Spanish very slowly and you will try to understand word by word. You will be learning some interesting facts about Latin America and also you will be improving your listening skills in Spanish. I will translate the text in English and then read in Spanish again in a normal speed..

Latin America
1-El desierto de Atacama, uno de los lugares más áridos del mundo. Está considerado como uno de los lugares más secos del mundo. En el año 1971, según los datos registrados, cayó la primera lluvia después de cuatro siglos. 
2-En Honduras llueven peces. En Yoro, una pequeña ciudad al norte de Honduras, se produce un extraño fenómeno por el cual, al menos una vez al año durante la transición de la primavera al verano, las calles se inundan de pequeños peces plateados “caídos del cielo”.
3-En Cartagena de Indias el mar se ilumina. En Colombia, más concretamente en Cartagena de Indias, podéis disfrutar de un baño nocturno con plancton bioluminiscente. Con cada movimiento, las aguas se iluminan con diminutos puntos azules ¡Una experiencia mágica!
4-Panamá, un país bañado por dos océanos. Panamá es uno de los países en los que resulta extremadamente fácil ver el amanecer en el océano Atlántico y disfrutar del atardecer en el océano Pacífico. ¡Una locura! ¿verdad? 
5-¿Sabíais que en Ecuador la naturaleza es considerada como un sujeto con derechos constitucionales? Gracias a esta medida, el país presume de tener algunos de los espacios naturales mejor conservados del mundo. Las islas Galápagos son un gran ejemplo de ello.
6-El Amazonas, el es río más caudaloso del mundo, Si queréis disfrutar de su rico ecosistema hay excursiones que os mostrarán este lugar único en uno o varios días. 
7- Sabias que Lima es la capital gastronómica de América. El país tiene hasta 90 microclimas, lo que crea una oportunidad perfecta para cultivar todo tipo de materias primas y poseer una gastronomía con ingredientes de primera.
