This week, The Regular Joe's take a last look at the first season of the newest Star Trek spinoff series, Starfleet Academy. Dismissed by many as part of NU Trek "(aka not my Star Trek) Academy presents a starting point for new viewers as well as new cadets. Is it perfect? No, it is not. But there's enough good there to be hopeful for the future. And isn't that what Star Trek is supposed to be about? Firefly, another canceled before it peaked sci-fi series, hopes to return in animated form. While this is not exactly the news everyone was hoping for, any chance to get this particular band back together is welcome. There's also the usual random topics in a Round of What's in the box.
