"Unforgiveness is like quicksand. The call that God has on our lives is for us to take ground. If we are not moving forward, we're moving back."

God has called us and blessed us to move forward and take ground in every area of our life. Unfortunately, we let unforgiveness and bitterness take root in our minds and keep us from living and loving the way he calls us to.

This week David brought such an incredible freeing truth of how the Fathers Blessing allows us to take ground.

All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit and teaching them to obey all that I have commanded you. And surely I am with you, even to the end of the age." Matt 28:18-20

This Sunday David gave us a real example of what it means for us to "take ground" in 2019. He explained how, as disciples of Jesus, we are called to make disciples. The promise of Jesus gives us comfort and courage to pursue disciple-making in every area of our lives!

This year will be one where we move from holding ground to taking ground. God has promised to be with us as we live to advance his kingdom and we must partner with him if we are to see real breakthrough and growth in our lives. If we truly want to see our communiies changed for then gospel, we must stop partnering with the lies of the enemy and take hold of the promises of God!

“Fear not, for behold, I bring you good news of great joy that will be for all the people." Luke 2:10

This Christmas Eve-Eve service, David wrapped up our "Joy" series urging us to find our only true hope and JOY in Jesus Christ.

This Sunday one of our elders, Kathy Swart, continued our series on JOY by comparing the feeling of happiness with the underlying joy we can have from a true revelation of Jesus.

Happiness comes from circumstances alone. Joy comes from the revelation of who Jesus is and what he's done for us all by redeeming us on the cross. It is joy, not happiness, that sustains us through the turbulent times we all face in life.

This Sunday our lead elder, David Swart, kicked off our Christmas series on JOY!

"Restore to me the Joy of my salvation..." Psalm 51:12

"But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control." Galatians 5:22

God the Father has great joy in his Son and in those love him. We have the opportunity to experience joy as we seek the presence of God in everything we do. Living life following the Holy Spirit creates a by-product of joy in our lives!

David explained how we can experience more joy in our lives, and how to steer clear of two things in particular that kill our joy.

"You can choose not to look, but you can't say you didn't know."

Our missions team that went to Cambodia shared about their trip. They shared about the darkness that they saw. They also shared about the Hope they found in the midst of these situations.

The Cambodia team called us to not only know about these issues but to take action and fight this, in Cambodia and in Columbus. How will you respond as an individual? Prayer? Finances? Getting involved in a ministry and organization that fights this? What can you do?

"What land has God called you to possess? What does your heart burn for?

In this season and in this place, he's called us to move forward and to possess what he's put on our hearts...It's about us seeing the kingdom of God advance in every area we live."

This past Sunday David preached on being bold and courageous so that we can walk into the things God has planned for us here in 2018. He explained how we are not in the places we are in life by mistake. Our neighborhoods, our jobs, our schools, are all places we are called to bring the kingdom of God here on earth.

"If you can get in His timing, and His place -- the right place at the right time, doing and saying the right thing, I'm telling you right now, his yoke is so easy! He gets behind you and nudges you along and he carries you along. He lifts you up and he gives you supernatural power and anointing to get the job done."

This past Sunday we had Kevin and Cindy Booth ministering from Turning Point Church in Norco, California!

Both Cindy and Kevin encouraged us to live the prophetic lifestyle. They encouraged us to live yielded to the Holy Spirit's leading in our lives and ultimately to live fruitful and productive lives for the kingdom of God.
