CBS reporter Scott Pelley made the controversial claim that the Scalise shooting was "self-inflicted" via violent rhetoric. Pelley went on to say that there is no rational person that would go out and do something like this. Does he not know that, in this world, there are irrational people that can be set off by any small thing that is said or done?
