The second half of our Money and Budgeting episode! Again, this episode is in no way financial advice, we just wanted to share our thoughts and even how we manage our own personal budget in hopes that it may help others out there cause you don't know what you don't know...ya know? Ha! 

Budgeting, adulting, money, economy, its all HARD! In this week's episode we decided to just chat about all of these things. It's been a universal struggle it seems in everyone's life with rising costs of groceries, leisurely things, house prices, you name it. This episode has been a long time coming. We recorded this episode about a year ago when we were able to just sit down and catch up with Shannon since she had moved and pretty much changed and shifted a lot of things in her life and also on social. We talk all the things about rebranding and what that actually entails from a business and personal standpoint. We also talk about therapy, religious trauma, working for yourself, and honestly everything else in between! It's a long one but it's definitely a good one and we are so excited to finally release it! "I'm not just on the island! I'm drowning in the surrounding waters!" This week we're talking about the best ways to get back on track when you're drowning in lack of motivation, exhaustion, backlogged work, ALL the things! 

Sustainability! This has been our go to word for our family for 2024 and hopefully for the rest of our lives. We have spent the last 6 months or so working toward consistency in our day to day lives as well as our work lives in order to have sustainable practices. We want to be able to keep up with the things that make us happy and excited whether it be our podcast, family time, working out, etc. We hope this episode helps in even the smallest bit if you're wanting sustainability in your life too. 

In the world we live in today, everything is curated to show only the best part of our lives and our work to the world. If you spend any time as a creative, you will see your share of success and failure. But this week's episode, we dive into our successes but, more importantly, the mistakes and failures that got us to the point we are today. We pull back the curtain on our lives and share the not-so-perfect side of our path to being successful creatives. 

This week we sit down and talk about faith, Christianity, church, and working through trauma and hurt. Trigger Warning, it MIGHT rub some people wrong but it is important to us to be honest about where we’re at in our faith and to be honest with ourselves. We have been through some church hurt over the last 5-6 years and we’re learning everyday to navigate and grow from it. We hope this episode helps you or opens the door for questions and thoughts. Know that you’re not alone and it’s normal to question things, be confused about things, and even be mad about things.
