There is a disconnect in our culture. We are told from a very young age to be successful and happy, yet we should do so modestly. Celebrating victories and wins is often perceived as bragging, and so we avoid it so as to not make others feel uncomfortable. I'm here today to put a stop to this approach. Rather than hide and deflect our wins, let's be proud of them. Let's talk about them freely and authentically. By doing so, we have an opportunity to inspire others to do the same.
