On October 5, 2023, 77-year-old Honoree Fleming, a beloved retired college dean and accomplished scientist, was fatally shot while walking along a popular rail trail in the quiet town of Castleton, Vermont. Despite witness descriptions of a suspicious man fleeing the scene and ongoing efforts by investigators to track down national leads, this brazen, broad-daylight murder remains a hauntingly unsolved mystery.
