677: Australian Government Awards Grant For Accessible Device Development

Listen Later

The Australian government has awarded a grant worth $1 Million, match funding, to a company which has created a voice activated device for blind and partially sighted people.

In Your Pocket allows you to listen to books, newspapers, use GPS, surf the web, keep in contact with friends and family plus much, much more.

What's even better is that it's all activated by your voice.

RNIB Connect Radio's Allan Russell spoke to Brendan Lewis to learn more about the product and how the money will help create an Artificial Intelligence world first.
