Breaking Brett Jensen discusses the chaotic Fourth of July celebrations in Charlotte and Raleigh. He notes that in Charlotte, according to a CMPD news release, authorities arrested 19 teenagers and cited or arrested eight parents. He also highlights a preventive measure enacted by CMPD for previous juvenile offenders. Additionally, he says Raleigh experienced significantly more violence and disorder involving teenagers over the holiday weekend.

Jensen says two large "teen takeovers" occurred in Raleigh. He describes the incidents that resulted from the gatherings, including shootings, fights and other disturbances. He then compares the events in Raleigh with Fourth of July disturbances in other cities across the country.
