In this episode, Ed sits down with Kasper Vinter, who is a Physiotherapist and Strength and Conditioning coach, and founder of Nordic Strength and Conditioning in Denmark. Kasper works with a range of different clients, from world class elite performers to the every day athlete. Most recently, Kasper has been making a name for himself for the work that he has been doing with some of the high level CrossFitters in Scandinavia.
We talk about ‘Hypertrophy’ training, and it’s importance in bulletproofing the body, unloading mechanical and neurological tension, and ultimately setting us up with the ability to develop top end strength in the long term. Kasper shares some of the biggest mistakes that folks make when it comes to building muscle, as well as some of the strength deficiencies that he has noticed from folks in the CrossFit space. He also shares his thoughts on developing top end strength, and why it’s important to explore other movement variations and exercises vs just using the barbell.
