72. ✅5 Tips for Getting People to Do What You Expect, in Life and Leadership.

Do you find yourself getting frustrated that your spouse, your boss, or a team member is just not meeting your expectations?  You think that they should just know what they need to do… it should be obvious, and if they cared they would do it!

 

Today I am talking about a topic that seems like it should be obvious common sense but isn’t for everyone, and probably not even most.   And I am going to go out on a limb but I think it is especially difficult for us as women.  

 

Sometimes we set a lot of expectations in our head, but we aren’t so good about clearly expressing them and truly asking for what we need.  That can lead to a whole lot of disappointment and overwhelm as a partner and as a leader.  I am going to share 5 tips for getting more of what you need from the people in your sphere of influence, whether that is your spouse, your friend, your mother, your leader, or the people you lead. 

 

You need to turn up the volume if you have ever found yourself thinking or saying, “I shouldn’t have to ask…he should just know…”
