A Backyard Campout Excerpt:

It was a warm summer evening in the charming Ahway Island neighborhood. The scorching heat of the afternoon had finally faded away, leaving behind a gentle breeze that rustled the leaves of the nearby trees. The neighborhood was alive with the sounds of people enjoying the weather. You could hear music and laughter, and the distant jingle of an ice cream truck.

James and Julia, best friends and siblings, were playing outside, their faces a little red after a day of adventures. The sun was getting lower, and the shadows of the trees in their backyard were getting longer. Julia glanced at the sky and realized that the day was slowly fading away. She took a look at her watch – the little blocky numbers said 4:32. “James,” she said with a hint of regret, “it’s almost dinnertime. We have to go inside soon.”
