In the cheerful sunlight, Ahway Island’s fields turned into a grand carpet of green and gold. The beams of light made the hay growing there almost sparkle. Trenton, the bright yellow tractor, smiled at the beauty of the day. Trenton cherished days like this because he knew something special was happening—it was harvest time! Trenton loved this time of year because he had an important job to do.

Back in the spring, Trenton had helped clear the earth and plant the seeds.  The little yellow tractor watched as the hay first broke through the ground, and then grew taller and taller, stretching up towards the sky.  Now, they were high and lush, shining in the sun and dancing in the breeze, ready for a trim.
