Brett Jensen kicks the show off by talking about Notable speakers and performers at the DNC, such as James Taylor, Steve Kerr, and Hillary Clinton. He criticizes Steve Kerr for his perceived lack of engagement with human rights issues related to China and notes Kerr’s personal connection to such issues due to his father’s death in a terrorist attack. and Jensen reports on the large number of expected protesters at the DNC in Chicago, claiming that around 200,000 people were anticipated. He describes some of the protesters as wearing Arabic garb, though not being of Arabic descent, and suggests that the protests are linked to broader issues involving the Democratic Party’s stance on Israel and other topics. 

Later in the show Jensen interview with Mark Harris, a newly elected congressman, who condemns the presence of mobile abortion clinics at the DNC as a troubling sign of the party's priorities and expresses disappointment over what he sees as the party’s disregard for the sanctity of life.. 

Jensen then shifts to discussing Republican strategies for early voting with Jason Simmons, the chair of the North Carolina Republican Party (NCGOP). Simmons explains the importance of early voting to avoid potential obstacles on Election Day and to increase voter turnout.

They talk about the reliability of polls, with Simmons expressing limited confidence in them until after Labor Day, and noting public frustration with the current administration, which he believes will drive a high turnout for Republicans in the upcoming election.
