Nintendo's latest Direct should have reassured fans about the future of the Nintendo Switch 2.

Instead, it raised even more questions.

Between the $80 Fire Emblem price tag, Mario Kart World's lack of meaningful post-launch support, a surprising lack of major first-party announcements, and an Ocarina of Time reveal that showed almost nothing, many Nintendo fans are wondering what the actual plan is for the Switch 2 moving forward.

This wasn't necessarily a bad Nintendo Direct.

In fact, there were some great games shown.

The real issue is that Nintendo needed to build confidence in the future of the Nintendo Switch 2, and after watching the showcase, I walked away with less confidence than before.
