One of the benefits of working a job where you occasionally have to become nocturnal means you can stay up to get all the hot scoops out of Tokyo for TGS! One of the downsides is that I didn't know what day it was until I woke up earlier this evening (OOPS!)

Did you watch the Nintendo Direct yet? It's really good.
Let me tell ya, I had one of the longest, most unadulterated laughing fits I've ever had watching the reveal of the whole Super Mario film cast. Who knows how the film will turn out, but that voice cast sure is something.

By the time this comes out, I'll likely be playing more Deltarune, so excuse me if I lose myself to that for a few hours.

Also, as a reminder, I don't report on any rumors or leaks I can't independently verify myself, hence why there's no coverage of the Nvidia GForce Now leaks. Feel free and check out someone else's coverage of that, though, since it'll be really cool if some of those games ever come into fruition.

Playstation sure was busy this week, and some news broke Friday I was actually able to get to because I was super busy for two days.

Lots of news coming from Gamescom this week as the summer of video games reaches its conclusion. Starting next week, the floodgates open to all the new games this holiday season has in store, like Deathloop. I didn't get a preview copy, so don't expect any insider coverage that from me. Though, if anyone from Bethesda or Arkane sees this, I'd be more than welcome to chat about coverage :) ([email protected] btw)

Also, I'm gonna be at PAX West 2021, physically. I'm fully vaccinated and have all sorts of medical protective gear, so if there's anything cool from the show floor, I'll be sure to keep you in the know of it, as long as there are no more than eight things cuz, y'know, the brand.

August 06, 2021 For the Week of August 6th 2021
The fallout continues for Activision Blizzard this week, along with more changes in leadership happening elsewhere in the industry.

There was also a lot of financial info that came out this week, but nothing I could really expand upon existing reporting. Here's a quick summation: Nintendo sold a bunch of Switches, but is down this quarter compared to last year because Animal Crossing was super popular. Here's to hoping Samus is just as popular this fall as Tom Nook.
