- Russ On Being Trash at MusicRuss On Being Trash at MusicCan you overcome being trash?Everyone is trash at music.Everyone.Just like everyone is trash at sports.Everyone is trash at walking.Everyone is trash at peeing in the toilet. We are all trash when we first start off.You don’t tell a baby boy that he sucks at potty training. You don’t tell a toddler girl she sucks at walking. You don’t tell a middle school basketball player he’s not as good as @kingjames.So why do you tell people in music they aren’t so and so?Why are you comparing them to people who have studied and made music for decades? Why do you think your opinion matters? Are they asking you to finance their career? Are they asking to dedicate time to help them become the next star? They are doing something positive, creative and for their own sanity/freedom.Why would you hate on that? What’s the point? What’s your end game? Why do people hate on aspiring artists? Can you overcome being trash at music?►► Click Here and Subscribe to the #1 music marketing channel on YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/Doriangroup82...🎶 Do You Want More Music Business and Music Marketing Tips? ►► https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DDMw_...►► Enroll In Our Top Rated Music Marketing Course: https://www.group82university.com►► Become A Group 82 University Affiliate and Make $1,000 Per Sale (50% Commission) - https://www.group82university.com/aff...►► TubeBuddy: How did I grow my YouTube Channel to 100,000 Subscribers and $70,000 in Revenue in 11 months? - Rick Ross Gives The Keys To Staying RichRick Ross Gives The Keys To Staying Rich“No” is one of my favorite words. I know what y’all thinking. “That’s negative”“You’re mean”“That’s selfish”. Fuck you. I say “No” because most people are full of shit. Most people wanna take take take take. They don’t wanna give. They don’t believe in fair exchange. They don’t believe in equality. They are selfish and they want everything to come easy. Nothing comes easy over here. I bust my ass daily. My team busts their ass daily. People that work hard deserve to win. People they don’t deserve to lose. Ain’t no freebies. Ain’t no chopping it up to “network”. You had that chance 12 months ago. Now my time is too valuable and our business needs my attention. Lock in a 1 on 1 coaching session and we’re good. I’ll teach you everything I know. And then after that, you’ll have access to me because I know you’re real. If not, do what I did? - Kendrick Lamar’s “Backseat Freestyle” Was Originally Made For CiaraKendrick Lamar’s “Backseat Freestyle” Was Originally Made For CiaraDamn CiCi 🤔People always talk about real music. Judging what real or good music is. Good music is honest and transparent. Regardless of the topic, the truth always cuts through. And that’s what happened with @kendricklamar and hit boy. The truth cut through. This beat wasn’t easy to rap on. Nor Easy to make. But it fit both of their palettes to make a classic record. If you want to be an entrepreneur, you gotta be honest with yourself. If you can’t be honest with yourself, this isnt going to work for you. Honest about your finances. Honest about your songwriting. Honest about to stage fright. Honest about your insecurities. If you can’t take this head on, you won’t have a chance. And this isn’t for you. - Jay Z’s Advice To EntrepreneursJay Z’s Advice To EntrepreneursCan’t be fake 🙅🏽♂️Real Entrepreneurs don’t have time to be fake. There are so many things you are constantly working on at once that you don’t have the energy to be fake.Customer service.Sales.Marketing.Content Creation.Market Research.Customer Engagement.Combined with your personal life, you have no time to be fake. You have to be true to you at all times.Which is what I’m on right now.Being true to myself at all times.I learned this in high school. When I wasn’t being true to who I was, I wasn’t happy.Once I started saying what I wanted and doing what I wanted, I was the happiest I’ve been. This applies to my business as well.Authenticity and the truth always wins out.Always.Be honest with yourself.Be honest with your audience. There so many damn fakes out here, they’ll appreciate it.►► Click Here and Subscribe to the #1 music marketing channel on YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/Doriangroup82...🎶 Do You Want More Music Business and Music Marketing Tips? ►► https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DDMw_...►► Enroll In Our Top Rated Music Marketing Course: https://www.group82university.com►► Become A Group 82 University Affiliate and Make $1,000 Per Sale (50% Commission) - https://www.group82university.com/aff...►► TubeBuddy: How did I grow my YouTube Channel to 100,000 Subscribers and $70,000 in Revenue in 11 months? - Why Lil Wayne Didn't Sleep In His 20'sWhy Lil Wayne Didn't Sleep In His 20'sDon’t Sleep 🦆I used to sleep 3-4 hours a night.I didn’t see the point of resting when there was work to do.I hated being behind on my work because I felt like everything would just pile up.I got over that. You can never get everything done in day. This isn’t school. You aren’t done with an assignment, get it turned in and you get an “A”.As an entrepreneur, the work never stops. You have to make time for yourself. You have to make time to rest. You have to make time for your family.Going all out every single day does nothing but eventually burn you out.Pace yourself.Sleep.Eat.Workout.Smoke.Drink.This is a marathon, not a sprint. - Jay-Z Talks About New RappersJay-Z Talks About New RappersWe aren’t one thing. Our women included ✊🏽This hits spot on the problem with Megan Thee Stallion and Cardi B's WAP. It’s the not artistic expression. They’re artists, do what you want. It’s not the video. If they had influence on the treatment or wrote it, they’re artists. They can do what they want. The problem is rap, specifically female rap, needs balance. Rap isn’t just one thing. Female rappers aren’t one thing. Black people aren’t one thing. We aren’t monolithic. We are diverse and our art reflects that. Rapsody is one of the dopest MCs out. She’s signed to a major. She’s gotten nominated for Grammys. She describes the woman experience better than anyone I’ve ever heard. Why doesn’t she get the same marketing dollars? Lil Kim, Foxy Brown, La Chat...they all did the sex shock raps in the 90s/00s. And it worked. Queen Latifah and MC Lyte were giving intellectual black woman an outlet and representation in the 80s. And it worked. Once the money become massive from sex rap, that’s the only way major labels will put major marketing dollars behind female rappers. Like Jay-Z said in this clip, rap is everything. And in everything, includes the black woman who works, has a husband (or not), it’s taking care of her household (or not), is evolving as a mother (or not), is balancing a career with family responsibilities and that story has been proven it sales. Adele sales. Beyonce sales. Y’all give them huge marketing dollars. Where’s the marketing dollars for the diverse spectrum of black women?►► Click Here and Subscribe to the #1 music marketing channel on YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/Doriangroup82...🎶 Do You Want More Music Business and Music Marketing Tips? ►► https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DDMw_...►► Enroll In Our Top Rated Music Marketing Course: https://www.group82university.com►► Become A Group 82 University Affiliate and Make $1,000 Per Sale (50% Commission) - https://www.group82university.com/aff...►► TubeBuddy: How did I grow my YouTube Channel to 100,000 Subscribers and $70,000 in Revenue in 11 months? - Master P Talking About MoneyMaster P Talking About MoneyGotta take risksNo streams are guaranteed. Anywhere. Anyone who is guaranteeing you streams, is scamming you. We have this poster on our website. We have this written in our disclaimer before you purchase. I say this in a dozen videos. Yet, those that get playlist placement still complain when they don’t get streams. Why?Because they don’t understand marketing. Marketing is a risk. And all of it doesn’t work. I used to run a lot of Facebook and Instagram ads. I have ads where I spent $200 and made $8000I have ads where I spent $600 and made $0. Do I blame Facebook or Instagram? No. Why?Because I know it’s a risk and that ad didn’t work. I adjust and come back. If your song is getting streamed, it’s either A) it sucks. B) that audience on that playlist ain’t feeling it. So go find other playlists. Stop crying because you aren’t blowing up off of one marketing investment. I’ve invested $50,000+ in my business at this point. And that number is going to keep going up. Because I know how to get a return. How do I know?Because I learned from when I lost money early. Master P told you. I’m telling you. Now what are you going to do?Learn the game? Or cry and blame other people for your failures. ►► Subscribe: https://www.youtube.com/Doriangroup82...Sell My Course and I’ll Pay You $1000Need more help developing the foundation for your brand so you can make $100,000 yourself?Click the link and buy my “How To Market Your Music On Social Media” Course: www.group82university.comDo you want to make $5000/month from YouTube?
